We offer private dressing rooms with full-length mirrors to ensure proper fit.

We tailor support for each family and student—sizes, preferences, sports gear needs, and special circumstances—so every child receives what works best for them.
How It Works
Important Notes

Coordinators and school staff are also welcome to shop on behalf of students.
If a family cannot visit in person, we can curate items and arrange porch drop-off.

Items are gifted as-is; clothing should be washed before use.

Sports equipment must receive coach approval for safety.

We also stock and deliver items to the Rockford High School Care Closet.

What Is Available
Tapestry provides free essentials for school-aged children and teens. Availability varies based on donations, and we often use social media to request specific high-need items. If we receive items outside our scope (toddler sizes, adult clothing, etc.), we pass them on to our network of partner nonprofits to ensure nothing goes unused.
Gear Donations
We collect and curate gently used sports equipment from community donors. This includes gear for all high school–sanctioned sports and hobbies — from football cleats to track spikes to dance shoes.
Gear Requests
Families, schools, and coaches can submit requests for specific gear and sizes. We match children with equipment that helps them participate safely and confidently.
Personalized Support
Tell us your child’s sport, size, and gear needs. We’ll work to find the right fit and help remove barriers to participation.
